Tastes great, the price is unbeatable

I was slightly scared to purchase this product since it's significantly cheaper than the big companies and it seems less popular, so I didn't know if I would get a bad quality product. I've heard about the past matcha that this brand used to sell, and it was a culinary grade, so it didn't seem great as a quality matcha choice. Upon receiving this product, however, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was bright green, and the smell was great.

I made my normal matcha, and I'll say that the taste is very similar to Okumidori: smooth, a little earthy and nutty, and somewhat bold. I've only had one matcha from Ippodo Tea, the Sayaka matcha, and I can say that the Emperor's Matcha tastes stronger and better than the Sayaka. This is very nice since the price is MUCH better than what you'll see elsewhere. Beware, however, since it seems that the popularity is spiking and deliveries will take longer, and the prices may go up.

I will continue to purchase this product normally, but see if you can find this at Costco first (the tin, not the bag!) since you'll get two tins for the price of one, which is insane. That's 60g for $20!

Yum! For the price its not bad. I wish I could get my hands on the costco version. Two for the price of one! I’m not a matcha expert by any means, but this matcha is very bright, slightly astingent, and is naturally sweet. I highly recommend for anyone new to getting into matcha as its a lot more accessible than strictly Japanese brands.

Matcha addict here

I’ve been on a serious matcha kick lately and the Sencha matcha is a gem! It’s vibrant, froths well, and in a latte, I honestly can’t tell the difference from more expensive brands. Unless you’re drinking it straight with water but even then it's better than some of the popular brands imo.

I make my lattes with a little oat milk and a touch of agave—so good. The quality is definitely there, and it’s super affordable. I couldn’t find it in Costco again, but a friend tipped me off that it’s available online. I grabbed two bags and I’m already almost through one (been converting my friends too!). The other one is in the freezer but gonna grab more before this brand blows up more.

I rarely write reviews, but this one’s underrated and totally worth it.

Excellent Matcha

I have been getting ceremonial grade Matcha directly from a company in Japan for a few years now. This has been costly, plus it shipped at a higher rate than from here in the US. I decided to try Sencha ceremonial grade Matcha recently (same grade as I was getting from Japan) I was happily surprised as it was superior in taste and texture to the Japan company's tea. I love it. Cost is lower. Shipping is lower. This Matcha tastes better and foams better. .It's smoother and no tinge of bitterness. I drink it with milk and a touch of sugar both hot and cold. Wonderful. I will continue to order from Sencha Naturals as the pluses for their tea outranks those I have been getting from Japan. I also got some of the mints which are good and I unfortunately ate them too quickly. Thank you Sencha Naturals!!!
